Designation: Engineer/Board Member of Al Jaber Group
Fatima Al Jaber is an engineer with significant expertise in the management of international businesses, a prominent leader in the GCC area construction industry and is a board member of the Al Jaber Group. Prior to this Fatima worked with the Abu Dhabi Government in various technical and managerial positions, including
her pivotal role as Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Services at Abu Dhabi Public Works Department and Abu Dhabi Municipality. In 2010, Fatima became the first Emirati woman to be elected to the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Fatima is a founding member and the current chairperson of the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen’s Council and was re-elected as the Chairperson of the United Arab Emirates Businesswomen’s Council for the term 2012 to 2015. In January 2012 she was awarded the Falcon Award from AmCham Abu Dhabi (the American Chamber of Commerce) for her efforts to create sustainable business relationships and recently.
Concerned with how women operate in economic fields, Fatima established Al Bashayer Investment Company, a service for female investors. She graduated from the UAE University, Al Ain in 1987 with a Bachelor Degree in Architectural Engineering.
