Level Shoes, the globally recognized retail concept dedicated to the world of designer footwear returns to Sole DXB this November 18 & 19 after two seasons. The 96,000 square-foot destination recreates an adaptation of its Designer Sneaker and Trend spaces, reflecting the strong design elements and values of the store.
The premier footwear and fashion fair promises to deliver a dose of contemporary street culture, cut with distinctive Middle Eastern flair – and in keeping with this, Level is offering a curated line up for its community of sneaker collectors.
The tightly edited space will highlight select designer brands Maison Margiela, Balenciaga, Rick Owens, Golden Goose, Axel Arigato, Zeer and Pierre Hardy while revealing limited edition and exclusive sneaker drops from Adidas NMD, Filling Pieces, ETQ Amsterdam, Joshua Sanders and APL, who will drop a grade 1 alligator trainer dipped in 24K gold hand crafted in Italy.
Special appearances will include designer Guillaume Philibert of Filling Pieces who will be on hand to offer sneakerheads an opportunity to design their very own FP shoe, Ryan and Adam Goldston, twin designer brothers of Athletic Propulsion Labs (APL) will participate in the official speaker program and internationally renowned sneaker cobbler, Dominic ‘The Shoe Surgeon’ Chambrone.
The Shoe Surgeon will showcase a five piece collection of one-off recrafted sneakers exclusively for Level Shoes. The collection will feature reimagined Jordan 1’s and 3’s, Huarache’s and Air Force 1’s in a range of luxury materials consisting of python, gator hints, horween leather, nubuck and fringe accents. Every pair is handmade by Dominic at his Surgeon Studios in downtown Los Angeles and takes over 40 hours. The finished styles will be revealed at the Level Shoes pavilion at Sole DXB and available for purchase. Surgeon Studios will be open for made-to-order appointments throughout Sole for collectors looking to their sneaker collection.
For sneaker historians, Level will showcase a never seen in the Middle East Maison Margiela retrospective of the brands iconic “German Army Trainer” replica sneakers, with only handful of these known to exist in the entire world, this is a must see.
