Bringing a new health and wellness concept to the region, Benny Parihar, partner at CRYO Health, discusses the benefits of cryotherapy and the women of the region with Sharon Carvalho

What is CRYO Health?
CRYO Health is the concept we brought to Dubai a little over a year ago – the UAE’S first fully dedicated cryotherapy centre. Cryotherapy is a curative health treatment involving extremely low temperatures (below -130oC/ below -266oF). Our aim is to enhance our clients’ quality of life by helping them look and feel younger and healthier through cryotherapy. We offer whole body cryotherapy and local cryotherapy treatments to our clients, which provide a great range of beauty and wellness benefits.

How does it benefit the women of this region?
Cryotherapy offers incredible benefits in overall health and wellness, including anti-aging skin rejuvenation by stimulating collagen production, and weight loss management by using the sub-zero temperature to speed up blood circulation and surge the metabolism to consume 400 – 800 calories in a single treatment. It is also a great kick-starter or aid for weight-loss programs, and helps with muscle recovery after workouts. Using the facial treatment, women get to feel rejuvenated without having to go under the knife, as this non-invasive treatment is proven to reduce wrinkles and fine lines in the face with just a few sessions. Overall, it helps women in their quest for a healthier lifestyle and to feel and look the best that they possibly can.

What drew you towards this form of wellness?
We have invested in the health, wellness and beauty industry in the Middle East since the mid 80’s and saw the rapid growth of non-invasive/holistic treatments in North America and Europe. Cryotherapy is the fastest growing beauty and recovery application in a wellness market, and it is helping men and women worldwide to achieve a healthier lifestyle.

What are your thoughts on the health and fitness of the women here?
Health and fitness is becoming more and more important to women here, with the influx of cosmopolitan, health conscious people moving to Dubai over the past decade. Women are open to new methods to gain a healthier lifestyle and we have our finger on the pulse by bringing noninvasive, holistic treatments – which are the future of the health and wellness industry.

What do you bring to the table as a partner with CRYO Health?
When I was living in California I was very inspired by the growing industry of health and wellness. With my family being involved in that space for over 20 years here in the Middle East it was an organic path. I launched Platform 3 in 2011, after which my partner Kai Stubbe and I decided to launch CRYO health in 2013. Today, my role is to make sure that the concept continues to succeed as it has and expand in the region with the opening of new facilities in the near future. I would say execution is my strong suit.

What are your future plans?
Our goal is to keep growing in the region and continue promoting a healthy lifestyle for men and women everywhere. Cryotherapy is the future of non-invasive wellness and beauty treatments and we look forward to continue spreading its benefits to our growing customer base.
