BOTTEGA VENETA INTRODUCES “BEHIND THE INTRECCIATO” EXHIBITION IN THE DUBAI MALL

Dubai will be the first city to host the BEHIND THE INTRECCIATO installation in the heart of Fashion Avenue at The Dubai Mall, from February 18th to 27th 2016. An exceptionally skilled Bottega Veneta Italian artisan will also demonstrate the intrecciato workmanship from February 18th to February 21st included, from 3pm to 9pm.

Bottega Veneta introduces “Behind the Intrecciato”, a travelling installation that celebrates its heritage, craftsmanship and creativity, through a journey in the narrative inside three of its most iconic pieces: the Veneta, the Cabat and the Knot.

In “Behind the Intrecciato” guests will be invited to explore the balance between the deep historical background, innovative design and contemporary functionality that lies behind the signature intrecciato motif at the core of the house by entering the impressive structures of the installations. The dimensions of these bags allow visitors to physically enter them and discover multimedia contents, examples of the most outstanding items and a demonstration by a masterfully skilled artisan, that will reveal the captivating aspects of Bottega Veneta’s world.

The Cabat, the first bag designed by Creative Director Tomas Maier, displays the virtuosic craftsmanship of the house; the Knot, that reveals the extraordinary creativity brought to life every season and the Veneta stands for the deep commitment of the house for the Veneto region where it was founded in 1966. Since then the house has emerged with a unique Italian lifestyle philosophy defined by four unchanging principles: outstanding craftsmanship, timeless yet innovative design, contemporary functionality, and the highest quality materials.

This installation will be one of the events which will mark 2016 as the 15th anniversary since Tomas Maier took over the Creative Direction of Bottega Veneta, as well as the house’s 50th year after its foundation.
