H.E Cavaliere Mario Boselli, the Honorary President of both Arab Fashion Council and the National Chamber of Italian Fashion

Mario Boselli is the Honorary President of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana after being for 15 consecutive years its former President. He began his activity in 1959 at his father’s company, Carlo Boselli of Garbagnate Monastero, a silk mill with a long-standing tradition (established in 1586). During the 1970’s, 1980’s, 1990’s and into the early years of the new Millennium he successfully developed his business both in Italy and abroad, in Slovakia, where he set up activities in the textile supply chain, from the production of jerseys to ready-to-wear clothing. In 2005 he left the family business for new assignments. Mario Boselli is also Chairman of the Cariplo Pension Funds, Setefi and Intesa San Paolo Personal Finance (Intesa SanPaolo Group), of Metroweb, as well as of the Italy-Hong Kong Association and he sits on the Board of a number of listed and unlisted companies. In the past Mario Boselli has been President of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana Federtessile, Fiera Internazionale di Milano, Pitti Immagine, International Silk Association (Lyon), Italian-Slovak Chamber of Commerce (Bratislava), Centrobanca, as well as Member of the Board of UBI Banca. Among his many honours, he was appointed Cavaliere del Lavoro (1990), Commandeur de l’Ordre National de la Legion d’Honneur (France 2002) and Cavaliere di Gran Croce Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana (2007).

Jacob Abrian – Founder of the Arab Fashion Council

Jacob Abrian defines himself to be a citizen of the world but always proud of his Arabic origins which is the main engine behind his determination. Was born in 1992 and received his first honorary high-school degree in Life Science in 2007, he studied briefly Film Making and Fine Arts before he obtained his second honorary Master’s degree in architecture from the Polytechnic University of Milan in 2014. In 2013 he has been selected to be one of the designers for the EXPO 2015. In 2012 he was discovered as model and he posed for the world’s most renown brands to shortly become the first international male model of Arabic roots. Travelling around the world and living the fashion capitals has contributed to enriched his network which assisted him to put into reality the dream of establishing a fashion system that represents and develops the Arab Talents. His dream came true when he founded the Arab Fashion Council at an age of 22 being the youngest of his age to hold the position of representing the fashion industry in the 22 Arabic countries.
